How we handle your data.

PickMyCard runs without accounts and stores no personal profile of any reader. This page is the full account of what is collected, what isn’t, and which third parties see anything at all.

01

What we collect

PickMyCard does not require an account. There is no signup, no login, no saved profile. You can use the quiz, the comparison tool, the card-detail pages, and every blog post without identifying yourself in any way.

The quiz collects answers about your monthly spending across categories, your income range, your credit-score band, and your card preferences. Those answers are processed once to return a recommendation. They are not associated with your identity, written to any database we operate, or shared with any party other than the recommendation engine described in section 02.

02

How we use what you enter

When you use the quiz, your spending profile (employment type, monthly income, monthly spending across seven categories, top three priorities, credit-score band, and fee tolerance) is sent to Google’s Gemini API for AI-powered recommendation matching. We do not send identifying information like your name, email, phone number, PAN, or date of birth.

Google’s use of data submitted to the Gemini API is governed by the Gemini API additional terms. PickMyCard does not retain the request beyond the response cycle, and we do not store the recommendation it produces. PickMyCard’s Gemini API access is provisioned on the paid tier, on which Google does not use API requests to train or improve their models per their published terms.

  • The quiz never asks for your name, email, phone, PAN, or date of birth.
  • The recommendation result is encoded into the URL of the results page, not stored server-side. Closing the tab discards it.
  • You can re-take the quiz with different inputs at any time. There is no record of prior runs.

Cookies and affiliate networks

PickMyCard itself does not set tracking cookies. Three categories of third-party cookies may appear when you interact with specific surfaces on the site.

  1. Affiliate networks. The “Apply Now” buttons route through tracked redirects (currently EarnKaro and Cuelinks). When you click one, the network sets a cookie so the issuing bank can attribute the application back to PickMyCard. Closing the bank’s application page without applying leaves the cookie inert.
  2. Google Analytics 4.Anonymised pageviews, session duration, country-level location, and device/browser type. No personally identifying information is collected. Google’s use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings.
  3. Google AdSense. Registered and approved but display ads are currently not placed. This section becomes live when ad placement begins, at which point Google and its partners may set cookies to personalise advertising. You can review and opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings.

The third parties that see anything

Some readers prefer a single consolidated list rather than the per-section breakdown above. This is the full list of third parties that may see data of any kind when you use PickMyCard, and what they see.

Disclosed data flows

The complete list of third parties.

  • Google (Gemini API). Quiz answers, when you submit the quiz. Used to generate the recommendation.
  • Google (Analytics 4). Anonymised pageviews, session duration, country-level location, device/browser type. No PII.
  • Google (AdSense, deferred). Ad-personalisation cookies once ad placement begins.
  • Affiliate networks (EarnKaro, Cuelinks). Click-through tracking on Apply Now buttons.
  • Issuing banks.Whatever you submit on the bank’s own application form, after the affiliate handoff. That form is not PickMyCard’s.

The site also relies on standard infrastructure providers (Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS and CDN). These providers may log requests for operational purposes per their own privacy policies.

05

Your rights, and what we never do

PickMyCard does not require an account, store quiz submissions, or retain personal identifying information beyond what your browser session passes through.

This means most data principal rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 do not have a corresponding store on our side to act on:

  • We have no profile of yours to access.
  • We have no profile of yours to correct.
  • We have no profile of yours to erase.

For data Google holds about your visits via Google Analytics 4 or Google AdSense, contact Google directly through their account opt-out mechanisms (see section 03 for links). The same applies to data held by the affiliate networks (EarnKaro, Cuelinks) once you click an “Apply Now” link: those records sit with the network and the issuing bank, not with PickMyCard.

We never:

  • Share your data with anyone we have not disclosed in section 04.
  • Build behavioural profiles for targeted advertising.
  • Sell, rent, or trade any data of any kind to any party.
  • Knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 (per DPDP 2023 protections for minors).
  • Request or store sensitive personal information (Aadhaar, PAN, financial credentials, biometric data).

If you have a concern about data on our side that does not fit any of the above, email hello@pickmycard.in. We respond within 48 hours.
