That is the entire mechanic: one stay, one payout, no tiers.

A few details that matter:

• The maximum is 5,000 bonus points total, not per stay. Stay twice and the second stay earns nothing extra.
• Bonus points land 2 to 4 weeks after the promotion closes on 30 September, so expect them in mid to late October 2026.
• Bookings made before 15 July still qualify, as long as the actual stay happens inside the promo window.
• Members who elect to earn airline miles instead of Bonvoy points on their hotel stays are not eligible.

For perspective: the HDFC Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card earns 2 Bonvoy points per ₹150 spent on general purchases and 8 per ₹150 at Marriott properties. To earn 5,000 points through the card's general spend rate alone would take ₹3,75,000 in spending. Getting the same 5,000 points from a single hotel stay that you were already planning to make is a meaningfully better rate of return, if you were booking a Marriott property anyway.

The fine print worth reading

A few conditions that are easy to miss:

• This promotion can run alongside other Marriott Bonvoy promotions active during the same period. Points earned from each promotion are independent, they do not double-count against each other's caps.
• The promotion terms say "eligible paid rate" without listing every rate code, so corporate negotiated rates may or may not qualify. If a significant stay is riding on this, confirm rate eligibility with the property or Marriott's support line before check-in.
• The offer page is branded as the "Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards Preferred Partnership," which is a longstanding co-marketing arrangement between the two loyalty programmes, not a new launch.

Is it worth registering

Registration takes under two minutes. The bonus is modest in absolute terms, roughly ₹2,900 to ₹3,300 worth of points, but the effort required is near zero. If a Marriott stay is already in the plan between now and September, registering is a straightforward yes. There is no downside, no spending commitment, and no catch beyond the usual "book direct, not through an OTA" requirement that Marriott enforces on most of its promotions.

For travellers who are not already Emirates Skywards members, joining is free and takes a few minutes. The only real question is whether the promotion justifies switching a planned hotel booking from an OTA (which might be cheaper after discounts) to a direct Marriott booking purely for the bonus points. At ₹2,900 to ₹3,300 in value, the answer depends on the price gap. If the direct rate is within ₹3,000 of the OTA rate, the bonus points cover the difference.
