Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026: Best Credit Card Offers

SBI Card's 10% early-deals discount on the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 caps at ₹13,750, after which Amazon Pay ICICI's uncapped 5% pays more.

Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 starts on 8 October; in early deals, SBI credit cards get a 10% instant discount capped at ₹13,750, while the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card pays an uncapped 5% for Prime members.

A 10% discount sounds like double a 5% one. At Amazon's Great Indian Festival 2026 it is, right up to the point where it stops. The sale opens on 8 October, with early deals running since 25 September, and the card question comes down to one number: how much a household actually plans to spend.

Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 credit card offers at a glance

Amazon's sale banner and the offer terms name two headline card deals. SBI Card is the instant discount partner, and the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card runs its usual cashback alongside.

2SBI debit cards10% instant discount, full payment only₹9,000 for the offer periodBuyers without an SBI credit card

Amazon also promises Prime members "up to 10% extra benefits" during the sale without saying how they are delivered, and Amazon Pay Later is advertising 10% cashback on EMIs. Neither is a card offer. The Amazon Pay ICICI card itself is issued on an invite-only basis, so it helps only those who already hold it or are offered it.

The SBI Card fine print that changes the maths

The SBI terms are more restrictive than the banner. Under the early deals terms, valid from 25 September to 7 October:

  • The minimum order is ₹2,490, or ₹4,990 for mobiles, per transaction and net of exchange value.
  • The Cashback SBI Card, the Flipkart SBI Card, the Paytm SBI Card and corporate cards are excluded.
  • RuPay credit card payments through UPI do not qualify.
  • Gift cards, recharges, bill payments, Amazon Pay balance loading, Prime subscriptions and travel bookings are excluded.
  • Reward points earned on transactions that got the discount are taken back later.

That last clause matters for anyone planning to stack. A card like the SBI SimplyCLICK normally earns accelerated points online, but those points are reversed on discounted orders. The 10% is the whole benefit, not 10% plus rewards.

Holders of the Cashback SBI Card should note the exclusion. The card gets no sale discount at all, though its own 5% online cashback, capped at ₹2,000 a statement cycle, still applies.

When Amazon Pay ICICI beats SBI

The crossover is simple to work out. A ₹40,000 laptop bought on an SBI credit card saves ₹4,000, provided the model is eligible for the bank offer. The same laptop on the Amazon Pay ICICI card earns ₹2,000 back for a Prime member. SBI wins that order easily.

Under the early deals terms, the SBI cap arrives after ₹1,37,500 of discounted spend. Beyond that, every rupee on SBI earns nothing extra, while Amazon Pay ICICI keeps paying 5% with no ceiling. Households that cross that line, buying a television, a phone and appliances in one sale, should split: SBI until the cap, Amazon Pay ICICI after it.

Orders below ₹2,490, or ₹4,990 for mobiles, never qualify for the SBI discount. Groceries, books and small household orders belong on the Amazon Pay ICICI card, which pays on every order regardless of size. Non-Prime shoppers earn 3% on it, which still beats nothing.

Before the sale opens

Check which SBI card sits in the wallet, because the variant decides eligibility. Add-on SBI cards count as separate cards with their own cap, which helps a family buying several big items. Large purchases should go on SBI credit cards until the cap, since the EMI option carries the discount while debit card EMI does not.

The early deals terms end on 7 October. From 8 October the main sale runs under its own bank offer terms, and caps can change between the two. Whatever the product page shows at checkout is what counts. Frequently asked

Which bank offer is live on the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026?

SBI Card is the bank partner. SBI credit cards get a 10% instant discount, including on credit card EMI and No Cost EMI, and SBI debit cards get 10% on full payments. The minimum order is ₹2,490, or ₹4,990 for mobiles.

What is the maximum SBI Card discount on the Amazon sale?

Under the early deals terms running from 25 September to 7 October 2026, the cap is ₹13,750 per SBI credit card for the whole offer period, including bonus offers, and ₹9,000 per SBI debit card. Add-on cards count as separate cards.

Can I use the SBI Cashback card for the Amazon sale discount?

No. The SBI offer excludes the Cashback SBI Card, the Flipkart SBI Card, the Paytm SBI Card and corporate cards. RuPay credit card payments made through UPI are also excluded, so holders of an eligible SBI RuPay card should pay with the card directly at checkout.

Is Amazon Pay ICICI better than the SBI offer during the sale?

Not on a single large order. Under the early deals terms, SBI's 10% beats Amazon Pay ICICI's 5% for Prime members until the ₹13,750 cap is used up, which takes ₹1,37,500 of eligible spend. Past that point, or below the ₹2,490 minimum (₹4,990 for mobiles), Amazon Pay ICICI earns more.
