Garima Warialani
A retail-banking professional bringing the insider view to Indian credit cards. Five years on the front line at HDFC Bank, now researching and editing cards at PickMyCard from the reader’s side.

About me
I’m Garima Warialani. I spent five years at HDFC Bank in retail banking, as an Assistant Manager and authorized teller-authorizer, working across forex, credit cards, bancassurance, insurance, mutual funds, and daily customer service. That front-line stretch taught me how banks price, approve, and position the products people use. It is the part customers rarely get to see.
I hold an MBA from Prestige Institute of Management & Research in Indore, and after a career break to focus on family I came back to the subject I know best, this time from the reader’s side.
What I bring to this
The bank’s-eye view. I read a card the way the issuer built it: where the margin sits, why a fee or a cap is shaped the way it is, and what a welcome benefit is really worth once the conditions are met.
I pair that with one research rule. Every figure gets checked against the issuer’s Most Important Terms & Conditions before it goes on the site. My work here is the research and verification behind the card data, and the editing that turns it into something a normal reader can act on.
How I came to PickMyCard
I started working on PickMyCard early, in April 2026, before most of the site was public. In those first months the work was foundational: helping shape the page structure and theme, researching issuer Most Important Terms & Conditions, and collecting the datapoints the card database is built on. As the site took shape I moved into a Contributing Editor and Product Researcher role.
I work alongside the site’s other editor, Vikram, who also happens to be my husband. Between us the cards get looked at from two sides: his years of holding and using them, and my years inside the bank that issues them.
